Well, my home internet connection is still down, so I uploaded a few videos here for your viewing pleasure and to prove that I'm not just blowing smoke :)
Thanks to my friend Rick for capturing these on my small camera. These are unedited and Rick tended to rotate the camera a bit. I'll probably make something more refined later...
Here is a quick tour of the major components under the hood.
Here is the Civic backing out of my driveway and taking off. It's nice and peppy!
Here is the Civic coming back down the block with some comments about its abilities. The loud buzzing is the vacuum pump for the braking system (hmm, rather loud).
I should be posting several pictures of my work over the next few days.

2 things. 1. When you were backing out of the driveway I heard a scraping sound. I'm going out on a limb and guessing you have an exhaust system heat shield that has popped loose and is hanging down.
2. Do you have over-rev protection on the motor? It sounds like it spun up pretty high when you were engaging the clutch backing out of the driveway. This should happen less as you get used to the insanely fast no-load motor acceleration and how it feels to shift.
(I want to do my civic next!)

Ellie, I don't have over-rev protection for the motor, but do plan to add it. I removed all the exhaust pieces, including the shields, so I don't think it's that. Perhaps my front suspension is so low that the tires are rubbing on something. I'll keep y'all posted.
